Recommended base thickness

For the best fit, we recommend making the clay base beneath the inlay approximately:

3.7 mm thick

This gives the finished piece enough depth to support the central gem while maintaining a balanced, polished profile.

How to use

Condition and roll your polymer clay to the desired thickness.

Cut the larger frame/base shape first and prepare the central inlay using the smaller cutter.

For the base underneath the inlay, aim for approximately 3.7 mm thickness for the best overall fit.

Position the inlay carefully in the centre of the base, then finish according to your preferred technique.

For designs like those shown in the product photos, the inlay can be polished and finished with resin to create a high-gloss gemstone effect against a matte or textured base.

Any holes required for jewellery assembly can be added separately according to your chosen design and findings.

Care

Clean the cutters gently after use using lukewarm water and mild soap if needed.

Avoid:

• dishwashers
• high temperatures
• direct flame
• excessive pressure or bending

Store flat and away from heavy objects to help preserve the cutter shape.
